I think some words of introduction are in order.
I watch anime. Obviously.
I like it a lot. Obviously.
I’m blogging about it infrequently more frequently than I expected of myself, amazingly enough. Obviously.
My tastes in anime are far-ranging; if it’s quality, I probably watched it, or want to watch it. I have far too many favorite series to mention in one succinct list, so I won’t even bother trying. My favorite genre is probably slice-of-life, but, again, that’s an over-simplification. You’re best off clicking that link over there that says “Recently Watched Anime” and just looking at my MAL profile/list.
I work in a library. I plan to work in a library for the rest of my life.
The title for this blog is a reference to Okamoto Taro, for no other reason than I had to do a project on him for class, and I liked the phrase “Geijitsu wa bakuhatsu da!” and therefore subverted it for my own nefarious purposes. I did, howver, through a typo, stumble upon a great non-existent word for the URL: geijitsu. The “gei” from “geijutsu” and the “jitsu” from “genjitsu” combine to form a BRAND NEW WORD which, literally read, means “art reality” or possibly “art truth”. Generously translated, it could mean “True Art” which, somehow, happens to be a great way to sum up the point of this blog. And it was an accident!
That’s about all I can think of.
